Le pluriel

Mettre un mot au pluriel, compliqué ? Non ! Il y a quelques règles à mémoriser.

• bus → buses
• beach → beaches
• fax → faxes
• brush → brushes

[modifier ( modifier-316-section-3.cours)]Voyelle + y ⇒ +s

• boy → boys
• day → days

[modifier ( modifier-316-section-4.cours)]Consonne + y ⇒ +ies

• country → countries
• baby → babies

[modifier ( modifier-316-section-5.cours)]-o ⇒ +s OU +es

• video → videos
• radio → radios

OU

• tomato → tomatoes
• potato → potatoes

[modifier ( modifier-316-section-6.cours)]Irréguliers

• man → men
• woman → women
• et tous les dérivés comme policeman, tradesman,...
• foot → feet
• tooth → teeth
• mouse → mice
• child → children
• ...

Il y a des mots qui ne sont QUE au pluriel :

• trousers = pantalon
• pyjamas = pyjama
• shorts = short
• jeans = jean
• glasses = lunettes

C'est très facile, quand on a appris  !
